The Yolo County Visitors Bureau is built upon the reputation that Davis, Winters and Woodland are great places for all levels of sporting events. Yolo County offers small town hospitality and individualized services. Team Yolo will make every effort to ensure that your sporting event proceeds efficiently and professionally. Yolo Sports will increasingly offer event services ranging from the initial bid process to on-site logistics. Team Yolo will work closely with members and partners on bid development, volunteer coordination, sponsor and event promotion, and other related services. We can serve in an advisory capacity every step of the way with our useful experience, knowledge of the area, and informative follow through. All of our current services are free of charge. However, we are constantly looking to improve our services and would be willing to negotiate additional services. In the end, we want you to consider us an indispensable resource for your planning committee.
Request for Proposals
The YCVB will be happy to send out your request to our hotels, facilities and caterers. In some cases, Team Yolo will negotiate room blocks and deliver you a final list of contacts with what they offer. We will follow up on all RFP’s sent out and handle problems if they arise.
Delegate Sports Packets
The YCVB offers colorful visitor brochures for your athlete’s information packets as well as other Yolo Sports goodies. Your athletes will have a more enjoyable stay with information readily available about restaurants, attractions and upcoming community events. An array of activity options during sports downtime reflects positively on overall experiences equaling better attendance at your next event. Please request items at least 2 weeks in advance.
Tours & Entertainment
Team Yolo has a complete list of area attractions and entertainment. We would be glad to assist in planning tours and entertainment options for spouses, guests or your entire group. We want to be sure that your sporting event is a memorable one. We can help do so by setting up special events throughout the community. Themed tour ideas are also available and can be individualized to meet your needs.
Advance Publicity & Marketing
If needed, we will send your press releases to local and regional news media to publicize your event, when you submit information to us within a timely period. The YCVB is also capable of sheltering your event from the media if your event prefers to keep a low profile.
Planning Assistance
We will work closely with your planning committee to provide any assistance needed. We can assist in coordinating all event functions held at any of our facilities or hotels, and assist in obtaining City or County dignitaries to officially welcome your event to our cities at your opening ceremony/banquet. We will serve in an advisory capacity for planning the many details of your next event.
